Insulation Tank Heating

The StrongSeam® Panel Insulation system consists of a composite panel created from laminating a metallic outer skin to thermal insulation. Adjacent panels are held together via a machine-formed weatherproof standing seam, the heart of the StrongSeam® system that extends the entire height of the tank.

Captured within the double-locking seam are retaining clips that attach the panels to steel cables which are securely wrapped around the circumference of the tank. Specially formed insulation panels can also be installed on tank roofs. Scaffolding Elimination is the key to this system.

We offer both turn-key or material sales. Strong Seam® Panels are available in a variety of stock colors such as aluminum color, gray, white, black, tan, or sierra tan. We also offer additional custom colors.

Tank Insulation System

Strong Seam® Panels lowers long terms costs.

A Strong Seam® tank insulation system reduces the installed cost of a tank insulation package while lowering long-term maintenance requirements. These savings are due primarily to the design experience and commitment to quality construction by Straight Line Industrial Services Inc.

Machine Formed Standing Seam Contour

The heart of a Strong Seam® system is the machine-formed standing seam that bonds adjacent panels together. This weatherproof seam extends the entire height of the tank and is also used on the panels that make up the insulated tank roof. Captured within this double-locking seam are retaining clips that attach the panels to steel cables which are securely wrapped around the circumference of the tank.

Strong Seam® Easy Installation.

Skilled, trained and certified SLIS employees can install a strong Seam® System without the need for scaffolding, welding or hot permits. For most applications, a climbing basket (work cage) suspended from tank's center nozzle or painted lug, permits the seaming machine and our personnel to travel the height on the tank.
